Individual Provider from Second Level or VET/FET who wants to engage in Learning Mobilities.
Step One
As an organization working in the field of second level education/VET/FET who would like to engage in an Erasmus+ mobility programme you have two options – you can either participate in short-term-projects or in long-term activities in the framework of the Erasmus+ Education 2021-2027 program in Key Action 1.
Short-term projects offer institutions the opportunity to enter the Erasmus+ mobility track. As this type of project is aimed at newcomers to the Erasmus+ program and smaller institutions, it makes it easier to get involved in the program. Short-term projects are therefore perfect for gaining initial Erasmus experience and building up expertise.
In contrast to long-term Erasmus accreditation, which is applied for once and for the entire duration of the program, a short-term project is shorter: The project duration is six to a maximum of 18 months. The number of participants is limited to a total of 30 mobilities. A short-term project may be applied for a maximum of three times within five consecutive application years.
Applications can be submitted annually and the call is usually published in spring. Individuals cannot apply for funding. Only public or private vocational training institutions can submit project applications and send participants. Previous experience in Erasmus+ is not a prerequisite.
If you are interested in longer-term participation in the Erasmus+ education program, we recommend participating in Key Action 1, which aims to promote the mobility of students, staff, trainees, apprentices, youth workers and young people. The role of the organisations in this process is to organise these opportunities for individuals. Organisations that want to open up to cross-border exchange and cooperation need to apply to acquire an Erasmus accreditation. Applications can be submitted annually and the call for accreditation is usually published in autumn. Award of the Erasmus accreditation confirms that the applicant has set up an Erasmus Plan to implement high quality mobility activities as part of a wider effort to develop their organisation. Erasmus accreditation gives organisations simplified access to Key Action 1 funding every year to implement their planned mobility activities and achieve the Erasmus Plan objectives.
Interested organisations from Programme Countries can apply for one of the following:
an individual Erasmus accreditation only for their organization or an Erasmus accreditation as a mobility consortium coordinator. Mobility consortiums are formed by at least two organisations based in the same Programme Country. Previous experience in Erasmus+ is not required to apply. When applying for Erasmus accreditation, organisations agree to follow a set of Erasmus quality standards that ensure good quality of implemented mobility activities. The application process is managed by the National Agency of the country where the applicant organisation is established. To check if your organisation can apply, visit the website of your National Agency.

Step Two
Any organisation that wants to apply for an accreditation or for a grant under Erasmus+ or the European Solidarity Corps must sign up to the general European Commission authentication service (EU Login) and register with the relevant organisation management service. Before you can register your organisation, you first need to get an EU Login account. EU Login is a general authentication service for a wide range of European Commission services. Where you register your organisation will depend on the action you are applying under and who manages it. You can check this by looking at the list of actions and their respective management.
For centralised actions managed by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency, organisations should register via the Funding & Tenders portal. Once registered, you will receive a 9-digit Participant Identification Code (PIC). This unique identifier will be used as a reference by the Executive Agency in any interactions.
For decentralised actions managed by the National Agencies, organisations should register via the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps platform. Once registered, you will receive an Organisation ID that you can use when applying for an accreditation or grant. If you have already participated in any Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps actions managed by a National Agency, you can search for your Organisation ID in the same platform.

Step Three
Check your application against the Programme Guide, since the criteria described in it will be the basis for the evaluation of your application. When writing your application, you should therefore familiarise yourself with the sections relevant to your application, including the sections on specific actions and other information for applicants. You can also search the project results platform for other projects in your field.
Depending on what part of the programme you are applying for, you will need to fill out a specific application form. You can see which action is managed by a National Agency (decentralised) or by the Executive Agency (centralised). For the decentralised activities managed by National Agencies, apply using the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps page. For the centralised activities managed by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), visit the Executive Agency’s ‘How to get a grant’ page.
The partner search on the EU’s Funding and Tenders portal helps you search for potential partners for your proposal.
Once the application is submitted, it undergoes an evaluation procedure by the National or Executive Agency. You will be informed about the evaluation result through an evaluation result letter. Successful applications will be invited for grant preparation, the other ones will be put on the reserve list or rejected. In the case of Key Action 1 projects managed by the Erasmus+ National Agencies, the notification of the award decision and the signature of the grant agreement will take place, indicatively, 4 months after the submission deadline.
